Trip Reports

Wed Jul 28 2021 Warren Falls and Blueberry Lake Trails by Steve and Heather Bailey

Five of us started out the day with a brief stop at Warren Falls, a very scenic spot on the Mad River south of Warren village. It was a cool morning, so none of us felt like swimming, though there were a few hardy souls plunging into the frigid waters. We then headed to the shores of Blueberry Lake, where a system of mountain biking trails was put in a few years ago. There were lots of switchbacks, and the climbs were not steep. We had lunch at a nice lookout over the Mad River valley with views of Mts Grant and Cleveland on the Long Trail. There were some bikers there from a Sugarbush summer camp for kids, but there was plenty of room for all of us on the trails.
