Sunday January 05 2020 Cross Country Skiing at Craftsbury Outdoor Center by Phyllis RubensteinOn Sunday, January 5, 2019 (date was changed due to wet snow and warm temperatures on Saturday), 5 of us skied about 10.5 kilometers at Craftsbury Outdoor Center on trails that were in superb condition. From the Center we headed out Duck Pond to Eleanor’s Hill, Sam’s Run, Ruthie’s Run and then across the road to Dante’s Loop and Wylie’s Sugarbush Way, returning on Ruthie’s Run to the Center. The temperature was in the low 20's with the sun trying to peak out. The trails were well-covered in soft powder from the night before on top of dense snow. The glide was excellent and conditions couldn’t have been better! After enjoying a relaxing lunch at the Center, we headed home.
