Saturday February 03, 2018 Stowe Pinnacle hike by Steve and Heather Bailey

Nine hikers donned their microspikes to head up the Stowe Pinnacle trail. There were a couple of inches of fresh snow over a lot of ice. Several series of stone steps had been turned into ice waterfalls. Our spikes held pretty well, and we made it with no problems. We were accompanied by the Pinnacle Pups, two not-so-young golden retrievers named Samson and Baylor, who live nearby. They joined us near the start and were with us almost all of the way.
