Grey skies and a dreary weather forecast kept members indoors this afternoon. But the four of us who showed up at Berlin Pond were rewarded for being intrepid. It never rained on us! We enjoyed each other's company, while occasionally stopping to watch redwing blackbirds, Canada geese and mallard ducks, and to admire violets, coltsfoot and cowslips along the road. And all around us the hillsides were turning a delicate, light spring green.
