The weather was almost perfect. The water was calm, the sky was clear and the temperature was very mild for late October. We paddled to the northern tip of the reservoir as far as the beaver dam. We stopped for lunch on the way back down the western shore. The leaves we off the trees and the topography was evident before us. Cliffs that are hidden in the summer were dramatically evident now. Some of the group left after lunch while the rest of the group continue on a leisurely circumnavigation of the reservoir. We were all out of the water by four in the afternoon.
