Thursday September 19 2019 YAC Button Bay Camping Trip by Sharon Plumb

Two mamas and two kiddos (4 and 5) arrived at Button Bay late Thursday afternoon. It was warm and clear. We quickly set up tents, then headed to the playground on bikes for fun on the big twirly slide. A late dinner and then off to bed. We thought we’d be waking up to go hiking but the bikes were just too exciting! More biking and playground time, then a long, long sandcastle building session on the beach. We never actually made it to Mount Philo, as we had planned. Another mom and daughter were going to join us, but doggie care fell through. Dinner and a big campfire, songs and games by the fire and then stargazing before crashing for a long sleep. The next day we had a lovely breakfast, more time on bikes and then we parted ways. Sharon and Siena headed to Shelburne Farms Harvest Festival.
