Sun Oct 19 2025 Hike Cotton Brook Road by Phyllis Rubenstein

On Sunday, October 19, 2015, 4 of us hiked 8.4 miles (depending on whose device you follow) along the Cotton Brook Road to Bridge #1. The old woods road, which has gradual ascents and descents, is well-maintained, as we crossed a new, and very wide wooden bridge. We saw the area impacted by the 2019 landslide, hiked a quarter mile up an old “driveway” to see stone cellars for a house and barn, and saw a stone cellar off a “driveway” just beyond an old apple orchard. We enjoyed warm, sunny weather and saw a bit of color in the trees. It was a great day for a hike!
