Northfield. 2.8 miles round trip, 1,198 vertical rise, 3-4 hours. Bring water, lunch and layers. Tour the historic landscape of Paine Mt, forest to farms and back to forest on a mixture of trail and old wood roads. It was a lovely day and seven people were initially interested, but in the end no one showed up, so Dana and Nancy went by themselves.
