Mon May 29 2023 Flowers and Black Flies by Cynthia Martin & George Longenecker

We could have been counting black flies, but instead we counted lady’s slippers in shades of pink and white—at least 150 blossoms. We also saw Canada mayflower, Clintonia borealis, painted trillium, star flower and cucumber root. 17 people, including some new faces, joined us for the walk from New Discovery State Park to Big Deer and past Osmore Pond and back.
