There will be a slide show by John Snell, renowned Montpelier photographer. Here is his description of the event: Seek No Further: In Our Backyard Like many, I’ve travelled the world and enjoyed doing so. And yet I also find I can be totally rejuvenated by a walk or hike in and around Central Vermont. The best part? Nothing is required of us but to open our eyes (and ears and maybe our souls) and see! I’ll share with you some of what draws me back and sustains me about this part of the world we all love—trees, rocks, flowers, cloud, rivers and reflections in water, among many things.

Leaving from Codding Hollow trailhead in Waterville, following LT North up Laraway Mountain to ledges and ice formations, continuing to overview of Lamoille river valley. Returning by same route. Morgan will meet people at Doty Elementary School in Worcester, at 8:00 AM. She will put Montpelier people in touch with each other if they want to carpool from Montpelier. There will be guided group hikes around the Green Mountains, winter skills workshops, snowshoe demos, kids' activities, and a campfire with s'mores all day. Then stay for the après party and raffle!
