Trip Reports

Friday October 14, 2016 YAC Adamant Quarry by Sharon

The hills were on fire! 19 people came out to enjoy a chilly autumnal hike. For most, it was a place they had never been to before. We started our hike playing on the stone wall and amongst the sculptures by the Adamant Music School. After introductions, we walked up the quiet dirt road to the quarry, where kids explored the big granite blocks and intriguing machinery. After a long picnic lunch, people took their time going back down the hill to their cars. It was impressive to see many of the littlest ones walk most of the way on their own two feet. What a fantastic time of year for being outside.
