Thursday March 06, 2014 Berlin Snowshoe by Steve Lightholder

It was a sunny, bright March afternoon when Thomas and I went clomping through the snow on the side of Irish Hill in Berlin. We followed a ski trail to Crosstown Road then reversed direction on the town trail that leads past an abandoned quarry. There was much evidence of porcupines around the quarry's grout pile. We also noticed a snow dog (not a snow man) and lots of tracks and droppings at the base of apple trees. All said, it was a satisfying work-out on a beautiful day.
