Long Trail from Route 105 to Journeys End
In a joint event with the Northeast Kingdom Section, five Montpelier Section members drove north to hike from Route 105 at North Jay Pass to the Canadian border. It was a glorious day for a drive and a hike. We met quite a few members from the Northeast Kingdom Section at the trailhead. We hiked the 2.6 miles to the Canadian border, where we ate lunch and enjoyed the border. Most of us hiked out to Journeys End Camp where cars had been spotted. It was my first time hiking out to Journeys End Camp. It is beautiful stretch of trail, and highly recommended if you are in the area.
