X-Country Ski at Craftsbury
The ski at Craftsbury Ski Touring Center was just a great day out. The temperature and snow conditions were perfect for X-C skiing. Everyone was eager to ski as we finally had plenty of snow. We first took the Lemons Haunt trail and then did the duck pond loop. After those two loops, we had lunch at the warming hut. The decision was made to do Race Loop after lunch. It was such a nice day that three of us decided to do the Bailey Hazen trail too. We found that trail to be in great condition. The Bailey Hazen has a long down hill with curves so you want the snow conditions to be right in order to do it. We also found that the way back to the lodge was more gradual than the way down which was a bonus. We skied more than 8 miles that day.
