X-Country Ski at Highland Lodge
It was a crisp cold day. The snow conditions were good considering we had not had much snow fall this year. There was some fresh snow from the day before which helped a lot. Seven people skied toward Patmos Peak, one returned to the lodge when we took the turn toward Barr Hill. Six of us continued toward Barr Hill and took the Gebbies Sugarbush Trail returning via Waynes Run and Athertons Trail. Four of the six continued on Easy Rider taking a longer loop back to the Lodge. It was very cold in the open fields on Easy Rider. Many others arrived later in the day and did shorter outings. There was much gaiety and conversation at the dinner table as 17 enjoyed the dinner that followed the afternoon ski. Several people enjoyed the delicious lamb dinner that was offered and then, of course, there was dessert.
